You wrote it well, but this is a depressing story. So, Bickle is a psychopath, sex addict, rapist, manipulator, I'm sure we can throw narcissist in there, too. But what is it about human nature that he is on a pedestal? Why do cults form around these satanic figures? I could reel off cult leaders who are described in the exact same way, same vile behaviors.
