Very interesting read here, James. I often reflect on the history of our God concept. Coming out of Greek mythology, the firey Zeus, slinging lightening at us below on earth, punishing us by sword or devastation, was our punisher.
So Deus (noticably similar) was God's name. And he dragged all that symbolism and ideology with him.
But God, I believe, develops into greater truth and love to us as we proceed through the centuries. What will happen to those who cling to Zeus as God?
I do not like to prognosticate.
Thanks, and peace out.
