Top-Rated School for Girls Faces Woes After Decades of Teacher’s Alleged Sexual Predation

Accusations now emerge of sexual predation by the school’s male history teacher for over 30 years.

The putrid stories of child sexual exploitation seem to be everywhere in the news and social media. And when the story is told, there is secrecy, shame and complicity of the adults in the room. That last item is what gets me every time.

Children are our future. Adults should protect them.

Nestled in the Berkshires is an 80-acre campus that is Miss Hall’s School for Girls, grades 9–12. The hills surrounding the buildings are all beautifully landscaped by the legendary Olmsted Brothers. Frederick Law Olmsted is the creator of Central Park. The property boasts a lake, a gazebo, and plenty of wooded hills, giving one the feeling of landing in a unique place, an idyll.
