This well written, concise piece is so painful to read. I've been saying this for years about FL.

But this is so hard to witness. I was in FL a few months ago for a funeral, and passed a construction crew that was filling in the last little bit of wetlands with cement, while an egret stood alone in the water, seeming to not know what to do.
