The violence threatened against anyone who reports the truth of the situation is a clear indicator of a cult. I'm exploring this now, and it's one of the main characteristics. These preacher boys are thugs. Plain and simple. They're users, poachers, criminals and the way they get in the door is by Bible thumping. Thump, thump, follow me. But it's been going on everywhere, for, it seems, forever. Did you ever see "Spotlight"? One of the sexual abuse victims told a reporter, "We thought these guys (the Catholic priests) were the closest we could get to God."

What is really tragic about this thinking is that "God" and "holiness" and "the sacred" is right there, in your heart. It's always been there. Like Dorothy in The Wizared of Oz, you were always there.
