Not meaning to dispense advice, I'm in no position to do so. But just a reminder to keep hugging and reassuring the girls. I don't know, a group hug at the end of the day for the family, or something. Our distorted culture about which you write does not allow affectionate hugs as the children turn to teens. Camille Paglia wrote about this extensively (I am one of her few fans), and she points out how it is how our kids can be so alienated from their parents. Just a thought, probably as a result of my reading today. I was reading Leo Buscaglia, aka "Dr. Hug." ha!
