I suggest you put Spain on that list of countries to not visit. Your harrowing experience was just awful, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. When producing a film festival in Valladolid, Spain, I was traveling with my co-worker, a lovely Black woman with a tight Afro. Everywhere we went, whether walking down the street, stopping in a cafe, having dinner somewhere, our service was lousy and people would just sit and stare at us. It was downright creepy, as you must well know.
