I had to jump on this phrase because it lands exactly where I think we go wrong in the Prayer category. (And believe me, I've done this 1,000 times). Most of our prayers are asking God to make our lives as WE want them. It's taken me a lifetime to start to understand that humility always serves me best in these times, will I have the strength to live the life God has given me? Will I learn the lessons I'm supposed to learn?

I'm sorry for these sad stories. It's tough. Believe me, I know.
