Brilliant that you bring the Trolley Problem into the discussion. Working as a graphic designer, I used to debate with other artists around me about the dog and the man in the lake, both drowning. (Who would you save first?) These kinds of questions provoke a lot of emotions is my takeaway.
But on another point you raise, can't we just call an embryo what it is -- an embryo? And the embryo has its own particular ways of being. And that's not outside the womb.
